Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti caveats 72 hours of rest threat but slams Javier Tebas again

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has again told La Liga President Javier Tebas to keep his nose out of their company, after the latter criticized the Italian because of his lack of replacements and rotations.

The polemic returns to a threat from Ancelotti before the international break, where he said it was the last time that Real Madrid played with less than 72 hours of rest after his side beat Villarreal. Tebas has returned to Ancelotti since then and not only noted that Real Madrid had rejected the chance to plan a match against Leganes with more than 72 hours of rest, but that Ancelotti's use of replacements and lack of rotation could help him in his fight against the calendar.

Ancelotti responded to Tebas prior to their game with LEGANES, not for the first time.

“I knew his obsession with Real Madrid, but I didn't know his obsession with the coach. He has to concentrate on his own things because he does not respect Real Madrid and the coaches.”

However, he rejected his threat regarding Real Madrid who did not play without 72 hours of rest.

“I think I have to add one thing: for no justified reason. Sometimes it is not possible, but when it arrived at the Villarreal game, the schedule could have been changed. Villarreal agreed, and the television stations too, but La Liga did not do it. If a game can be changed, we can't be changed.”

The Real Madrid coach rejected the idea that the title race had already been decided, after Barcelona ran three points ahead of a victory over Osasuna.

“Barcelona has the advantage, but we are going to fight to the end. We are now coming in, which I hope that the decisive phase of the season is. And we have the Clasico. Hopefully we will have 17 games to the end.”

Los Blancos will be against LEGANES on Saturday evening without several important players, but Ancelotti did gave optimism with regard to their Champions League collision against Arsenal in ten days.

“Courtois is something small and we try to get Ceballos and Mendy back for the first stage against Arsenal.”

'We will see it [about rotations]. I have options to make changes … We have a fairly complete team and [Tchouameni] Can be part of the rotations I want to make. '
