Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti planning major line-up experiment for Arsenal clash

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti stated on Tuesday that he did not believe that his task was at stake in their Champions League quarterfinals second stage against Arsenal. However, the Italian manager is responsible for overthrowing a 3-0 deficit.

Ancelotti spoke about the control of the game in his press conference for the game, while Jude Bellingham also seemed confident for the game. Asked what he would tell his players for the game, Ancelotti might hint that he considered a shift against Arsenal.

According to Cadena Cope, Ancelotti is considering a big recontribution, trying to shake up the draw. With Aurelien Tchouameni back from the suspension, he will go to the center of the back, allowing Fede Valverde to return to midfield next to Dani Ceballos, who is now back from an injury. The site of Valverde would be filled right back by Raul Asencio, where the front four is maintained.

At Left Back they also support David Alaba to continue against Bukayo Saka, despite many who predicted Fran Garcia to come back.

It is certainly a risky strategy, even if there is some logic behind it. It would mean a back four of the three central defenders and a midfielder, and a midfield with Ceballos who start for the first time since the return of injury since the end of February.

That was against Real Sociedad, and one of the rare cases that Asencio was used on right back from position, an experiment that only lasted 45 minutes, albeit not because of his performance, according to Ancelotti. Tchouameni has also been heavily criticized because of his defense versions this season.

However, it would be a way to get Valverde back to midfield and also improve their ability to play from behind, while retaining a firmness that Los Blancos has avoided Lucas Vazquez in the line-up.
