Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso believes that more signing sessions are needed to compete at the highest level next season, after the opening of six games of his term of office. The Basque coach noted that he had gone away with 'certainties' from the tournament.
Alonso was immediately asked about signing sessions after the game and hinted that there was 'room of improvement' in his team. He also noted that he had learned a lot from the tournament and knew where Los Blancos should get better, after a modest 4-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain. Benfica left back Alvaro Carreras is set to arrive, but Alonso thinks they also need reinforcements elsewhere.
Although it was talked about that Los Blancos could do with another midfielder to control the game for the defense, Cadena Ser says that Alonso has made a decision. He believes that Real Madrid needs a new pivot and will ask that people have been signed this summer.
However, Los Blancos does not see it that way, at least at the time of writing. The will of Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernandez are appreciated by the club, but they are not willing to pay more than € 100 million for him, which they would cost. Cadena Cope explains that although they still have to discuss the issue with Alonso, they have no plans to make signing sessions than Carreras, unless there are more outputs.
A player who could leave is Rodrygo – and he would provide considerable money if an exit is agreed to pursue a midfielder. Los Blancos is looking for an exit for the Brazilian. It also marks a change from ERA at Real Madrid. Under Carlo Ancelotti, the hierarchy more or less dictated the transfer policy, in which the Italian gave his opinion but rarely argued his corner. Alonso, it seems that his case will argue if he finds it necessary.
