Real Madrid are monitoring Red Bull Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba (21) with a view to a possible move in 2025, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Lukeba joined RB Leipzig from formative club Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2023. He has since established himself in the Bundesliga, making 53 appearances for Leipzig since the move, while also briefly breaking into the French set-up. Just two months after moving from OL, he earned his only cap for Les Bleus.
After signing a contract extension at the end of October, Lukeba has committed his future to RB Leipzig. However, the new contract contains a release clause, which Romano believes is worth €90 million. The value of this release clause will fluctuate from season to season.
Both Real Madrid and Premier League clubs are showing interest in the French central defender with a view to a transfer next summer.
