Real Madrid remain hopeful of signing a pre-contract agreement with Alphonso Davies, even though the situation is very uncertain at the moment. Bayern Munich are doing everything they can to reach an agreement on an extension with the Canadian defender, and they have just made their final move.
According to Marca, Bayern have submitted their latest contract offer to Davies, and it is a very lucrative one. He is worth an estimated €25 million per season, which would make him the highest-paid player after Harry Kane.
Bayern believe the departure of Davies, who has yet to make a decision on his future, would be catastrophic on a sporting and moral level. They are therefore determined to go as far as possible to reach an agreement as quickly as possible to ensure that Real Madrid do not stand a chance.
Real Madrid would almost certainly not have much of the money offered to Davies by Bayern, so they would rely on the player's will to see him sign this summer. It remains to be seen whether their pursuit will be successful, but for now it seems less likely.
