Real Madrid officially started negotiations with Liverpool to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold on time for the club World Cup.
On Monday, the English defender confirmed that he will leave his boys' club at the end of the season and sign a five -year -old deal with Real.
The Spaniards want TAA to play at the club World Cup next month, although they can be forced to pay a fee of more than £ 1 million.
Liverpool will be on his way to his wages of £ 180,000 a week, because his deal will not expire until 30 June.
Real's first match in the US is Al-Hilal on June 18.
They were able to register their new man between 1 and 10 June or between 27 June and 3 July for the knockout phase.
Although Real had hoped to secure TAA for around £ 1 million, Liverpool could play hardball and for another £ 500,000 questions.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, has three games left as a Liverpool player-with his farewell to Anfield against Crystal Palace on the last day of the season.
He could also appear on Sunday before the club against Arsenal before he drove to Brighton.
But he may not receive the hottest reception of fans of Liverpool during his farewell trip.
Many supporters have remained angry with the defender's decision to leave the club.
Liverpool -legend Jamie Carragher has insisted that the anger to his exit is “justified”.
In his Telegraafkolom, Carragher wrote: “Liverpool is winning more Premier League and Champions League titles.
“Everything that undermines a threat.
“You may not agree with it, or believe that the competitive attitude towards the loss of a star player is justified, but it is what makes Liverpool the successful club it is, and it is no different than what you would expect at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Manchester United.
“By leaving Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold makes it more difficult for his own club to win his 21st league title and seventh European Cup.
“That will certainly stir emotions.”
Some of the negative reactions have seen Alexander-Arnold banished from curries and popworld.
