Real Madrid President Perez helped Barcelona secure Olmo registration

Few problems have caused more indignation and anger this season in Spanish football than the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. After Barcelona had missed the deadline to register both players again at the end of December, they were not registered by La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), who came out of action in theoretically for the rest of the season.

Barcelona has protested that they had done everything on their side in time, and it was only the requirements of La Liga for extra guarantees-in this case proof of funds that delayed their re-registration, something that was not in the regulations. Because Barcelona was, Barcelona took the business to the Ministry of Sport, the security of a temporary order to keep Olmo and Victor registered, while their case to do this has been definitively resolved.

That case will be decided at the beginning of April, at what point Barcelona Olmo and Victor could lose if the case goes against them. La Liga and the RFEF have also challenged the order in court. According to Catalunya Radio, however, Barcelona had a helping hand in their attempt to get that order, from none other than Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.

They explain that Perez called the President of High Court for Sport, Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes and lobby them to give the order requested by Barcelona, and that this is a version of events defended by La Liga President Javier Tebas and other managers in the competition. They are convinced that the intervention of Perez was crucial in Barcelona who was able to continue to play Olmo and Victor.

It is also noted that Perez and Barcelona President Joan Laporta have regular contact and maintain a warm relationship. The Real Madrid Chef also had a hand in the return of Laporta to Barcelona's presidency, allowing him to secure the bank guarantee needed to sworn in his administration in 2021.

Many clubs expressed their anger about the decision to give Barcelona the emergency facility, with some La Liga called 'forged'. Tebas also emphasized that Real Madrid was not public, so Aspersies were on their behavior. This is in the context of Perez who recently stated at the general meeting of Real Madrid that Barcelona was a large club like she, and that the two 'had to help each other'.
