Real Madrid remain confident of tying up two deals in January

It does not look like Real Madrid will sign Carlo Ancelotti for the rest of the season, but deals are being worked on for next season. They are still confident they can pull off two major coups in the transfer market.

Despite Liverpool's insistence and multiple offers, Relevo says Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to ignore their approach. Real Madrid are optimistic about signing the 25-year-old England international this summer.

There is less certainty about Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, but Los Blancos still feel they will get his signature. Bayern are leaking optimism about a deal, but they have not yet agreed with the Canadian left back. Real Madrid have been on the periphery in recent months, as they do not want to participate in an auction, but have agreed rough terms since the beginning of 2024.

Dani Carvajal's long-term injury has increased the urgency to find a long-term successor for the Spain international. On the other hand, Real Madrid recently extended Ferland Mendy at the left back spot, but internally there have been doubts about him for some time.
