'Now the good part begins' was the message at Valdebebas among Real Madrid's seniors when they returned to training after a week's Christmas break. However, they did this without two key members on their side.
Despite Carlo Ancelotti stating that he would take full part in training on December 30, Diario AS noted that he did not participate in the session with the rest of the group. Los Blancos did a tough session with many explosive movements and Alaba says he is not ready for that yet. They trained for almost four hours between training on the pitch and in the gym, but Real Madrid decided not to subject Alaba to such a demanding session.
Rodrygo Goes was also absent from the session due to personal reasons, but will be back in action tomorrow when Los Blancos hold their annual open training for the fans. On the training pitch the message was positive and the players are enjoying the decisive phase of the season when the titles will be decided.
Los Blancos are back in action against Valencia on Friday, January 3 in the Mestalla, against fellow bottom Los Che. It's the start of a busy January for Real Madrid, and they will then be involved in the Copa del Rey against Deportiva Minera before facing RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
