Real Madrid seal Xabi Alonso’s first win despite Pachuca scare

The Xabi Alonso era in Real Madrid has its first victory when Los Blancos sealed a 3-1 FIFA Club World Cup victory on Pachuca.

The La Liga Giants struggled for fluidity in their opening match of the tournament against Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

The heat and humidity of Miami saw Alonso's government start with a 1-1 draw and he demanded a reaction.

However, the message of the boss was depleted in the wrong way by defender Raul Asencio in the opening minutes against Pachuca in North Carolina, while pulling Salomon Rondon down.

Asencio was shown an immediate red card and Real Madrid was in the Bank of America Stadium to ten men after just seven minutes.

Alonso needed resilience from his players and it came through a well -known source at 35 minutes.

During his two years, Jude Bellingham was performed in Madrid in linking moments and he steamed on Fran Garcia's only to shoot the breakthrough home.

A late run from Deep offered a further glimpse of how Alonso is planning to use the English star in the coming months as part of a reformed midfield.

There was also a positive moment for player and manager just before the break when Arda Guler slid home from close by to make it 2-0.

The Turkey International was the only change in the Al Hilal game – to replace Rodrygo Goes – and Alonso's call was justified.

Fede Valverde has put the seal on the result late on the result and Alonso will have faith in an important step that is taken when Pachucal took a consolation goal from Elias Montiel.

The victory for Real Madrid hits Pachuca and is moving the Alonso team with four points for the time being.

Much will depend on the collision of RB Salzburg with all Hilal, with Austrians already on three points and all on one.

Everything less than capitulation against RB Salzburg On 27 June a last 16 place will seal, but there is work to do to the top of Group H.
