New Real Madrid Signing from Franco Mastantuono made a strong impression on Thursday during his presentation. The Argentinian talent arrives for a six-year-old deal from River Plate, who received € 45 million for the 18-year-old. Although he was in the Spanish capital for a few weeks, Mastantuono was only able to complete the move today, on his 18th birthday.
Mastantuono assured that his numericous were from him, despite reports that it had something to do with their transfer plàns. In the meantime, he had no trouble mentioning Lionel Messi as the best player in the world, something that does not often go well in Madrid. Mastantuono was indeed the court by Messi's former manager Luis Enrique, but explained his decision.
“Several players were interested in me, and I have the greatest respect for them. I spoke with Luis Enrique, and he was very clear with me. I congratulate him on winning the title last night.”
'I spoke [Alonso] And it was very important. He did a lot and gave me a lot of confidence to fulfill my dream. “
It has been spoken that the Santiago Bernabeu comes that Xabi Alonso has the feeling that he will be ready to start right away. He was able to take on a role on the right in the 4-3-3 that Alonso tested on Tuesday in their pre-season-friendly, or as part of a three in midfield in a 3-5-2.
“I am an attacking player, left-foot, right-footed … I don't like to describe myself; I prefer others to do it. What is certain is that I will give everything to it. I will be there any way I can be to help the team. I am here to help in any way I can get in with the lawyer and come in.”
Mastantuono was ambitious about what he wants to achieve and explained that he has been a fan since he was young.
“Since I grew up, I have seen Real Madrid win the Champions League, and that was my memory. It was incredible. I hope there are many more. Now is now to put on the sweater and win titles.
And had little concern about his adjustment period to life in Spain.
“It is incredible to be in a club with as many players like this one. I was at Bellingham and he welcomed me great. I love it and he welcomed me.”
'I'll know better tomorrow [about how I’ll adapt] In training, but I'm ready. Madrid is a very beautiful city, I felt at ease. I was anxious because I wanted to start. In the Spanish competition there is a lot of possession based, tactical football, which I like. The pace is clearly higher, but I hope to do well. “
The 18-year-old playmaker was able to make his debut on Tuesday, when Real Madrid hosted Osasuna in their La Liga opener.
