Real Madrid continues their fierce battle against the technical committee of referees (CTA), after the controversial defeat of last weekend against Espanyol. Earlier in the week they sent a highly formulated explanation to the Spanish football federation, in which they called the referee system 'discrolded' and 'corrupt'.
Real Madrid's anger has emerged from the decision of referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz and the VAR team to not send Carlos Romero for a strong challenge, which increases that anger ten times after the Espanyol defender scored the winning goal in the stage for stadium.
On the back of this, Real Madrid now makes their attitude on an institutional level. The federation is mainly aware of this, because they have now been informed that Los Blancos has decided not to attend the Thursday meeting between all La Liga and Segunda Clubs, which will also be attended by the CTA.
The meeting has been determined by the Federation as a pioneering working day to tackle all current problems of Spanish professional football. Real Madrid, however, will not be present, because he initially informed the RFEF that they would go three weeks ago.
The report noted that the Federation was confused by the decision of Real Madrid, because the meeting was established as a way for clubs to express their grievances. The CTA will be present because referee was one of the items that was open to be discussed, but now Los Blancos will not get their chance.
It is clear that Real Madrid does not intend to withdraw their attitude, nor do they seem to be willing to discuss the case with the federation or the CTA. Instead, Florentino Perez and the board of directors of the club remain their way.
