Real Madrid -star Arda Guler has tackled rumors about his future and insisted that he has no desire to leave the Bernabeu despite interest from different clubs throughout Europe
Arda Guler has spoken about his Future in Real Madrid after Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai had focused on the playmaker about his lack of playing time this season. Guler has only made 10 starts for Madrid in all competitions this season and he was associated with a relocation of the Bernabeu in the summer.
Arsenal belonged to the clubs that were interested in Guler's services, but the 20-year-old stated that he has no desire to leave Madrid. “Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it,” said the Turkey International.
“I am sure I will succeed at Real Madrid, I even bought a house in Madrid. I work very hard and I am always ready to play. I love fans of Real Madrid, and their support means a lot to me.
“I am very grateful. I came to Real Madrid to play and to be an important part of this team. And I will not stop fighting until I achieve that.”
Guler's comments come after he was involved in a spit with Szoboszlai after Turkey defeated Hungary 6-1 in the play-off of the UEFA Nations League. After Guler Szoboszlai had hunted during the second stage, the Liverpool midfielder shot back on social media.
In response to an image of Guler's gesture that was shared by a Hungarian news output on Instagram, Szoboszlai wrote “1088”, the exact number of minutes that his rival has played for Madrid this season so far.
Guler shot back with a message about his Instagram story and wrote: “This man is a joke. Is 6 goals not enough to remain silent?” Guler's words were also accompanied by a sister -face emoji.
Turkey Baas Vincenzo Montella has meanwhile insisted that he is not worried about the lack of start of Guler for Madrid. “He is an exceptional football player,” said Montella.
“We all know his talent and what he can contribute. It is a well -known and generally accepted trend that players with consistent playing time at their clubs are usually selected for the national team.
“However, we must follow a more understanding approach with Arda Guler.” However, Turkey Captain Hakan Calhanoglu has insisted on Guler to join Inter Milan.
“Arda is a very important player; he is like a little brother I love a lot,” said Calhanoglu. “I would like him to come and play with us – in the internet – although I don't know if this is true.
“I don't know what his situation is at Real Madrid, so I don't want to get too much involved in this situation, because he finally knows more, although of course I want and believe he deserves to play more minutes.”
