Real Madrid star remains out for Real Sociedad Copa del Rey tie

Real Madrid shifts their attention away from the La Liga title race in midweek while taking on Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey.

The team of Carlo Ancelotti – and Arch Rivals Barcelona – are both still on course for a potential trophy – this season – in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid returned from the international break with a weekend profit on Leganes, but Barcelona has since recovered their three -point lead.

Prior to hosting La Real on 1 April, the Ancelotti team has a slight lead, after the goal of Endrick Felipe had sealed a 1-0 semi-final first leg in San Sebastian in February.

Ancelotti will check his squadron before the game, with a tight gap of the Leganes collision, but his overall fitness photo will probably not change.

The Italian coach has previously confirmed the target for Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy will return for the Final first stage of the Champions League Quarter in Arsenal on April 8.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, it is expected that no. 1 Thibaut Courtois will also miss against La Real after being omitted against Leganes.

Courtois returned with a muscle injury through Belgium -obligation with Andriy Lunin who stepped in and the Ukrainian should remain in force.

It is not a big problem for Ancelotti, where Lunin has so far started all Copa del Rey matches of Real Madrid this season, and Courtois should be contrary to the competition match with Valencia on 5 April.

Ancelotti can look to bring some of his big names back, with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo goes and Fede Valverde all come from the bank against Leganes, after long journeys from the FIFA window.

Endrick has to start for the hosts with Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz who fight for a place in the first XI.
