Real Madrid starlet will be used by Carlo Ancelotti to solve worrying problem

Real Madrid have kept their defense crisis under control in recent weeks, winning each of their last three La Liga matches. The emergence of Raul Asencio has played a major role, with the 21-year-old making a big impression since joining forces with Antonio Rudiger in the center of Carlo Ancelotti's defence.

Asencio continues to be counted on by Ancelotti and his coaching staff, and even when Aurelien Tchouameni returns to action in the coming days, he will remain a very prominent part of the squad.

According to Relevo, Asencio will, among other things, relieve the workload of Rudiger, who was always present at Real Madrid this season due to the injury crisis. It recently emerged that club officials are concerned about the condition of his knee, which is at increased risk of breaking down – especially if he plays too much.

Asencio may not remain a regular starter in the future, but he will still be trusted by everyone at Real Madrid. Given his performance so far, there are plenty of reasons for that.
