Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger have been cleaned up to face Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League of next week – after he escaped with suspended prohibition.
UEFA started an investigation last week after Atletico Madrid accused the duo and teammates Vinicius JR and Dani Ceballos of “indecent behavior” after their shoot-out victory in the last 16 draw at the Metropolitano.
Former Chelsea defender Rudiger, who scored the decisive fine, was accused of making a throat gesture to home supporters.
The French Ace Mbappe, who had missed a spot kick earlier in the normal time, but was converted into the shoot-out, was reported to touch his genitals in a clearly derogatory way.
Vinicius -long -oriented by rival fans and who has been a regular victim of racist abuse -was involved in two separate confrontations with Atletico supporters before and after the shoot -while Ceballos focused a one -armed gesture with a clenched fist in home -fans.
That gave the prospect of the quartet all suspended for the first stage of the draw with the Gunners in the Emirates on Tuesday.
A probe saw a UEFA ethics and disciplinary inspector decide that there was no case to answer Vinicius JR, while the other three were accused of “violating the basic rules of decent behavior”.
But now UEFA's control, ethics and disciplinary body have taken serious action, despite the fact that the three players have been found guilty.
Rudiger received a ban from one match, suspended for 12 months and was fined £ 34,000, with Mbappe being given the same conditional punishment and a fine of around £ 25,000, where Caballos was not a ban and ordered to pay £ 17,000.
A UEFA declaration was: “After investigating a UEFA ethics and disciplinary inspector, disciplinary procedures were opened against the following Real Madrid CF players, Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe, Daniel Ceballos Fernandez for potential of the Basic rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules of the rules. The suspended sentences of Mbappe and Rudiger are bad news for fans of Arsenal.
The Emirates Faithful clinged to the hope that the duo would be banned for Tuesday's match in the Emirates because of the defensive crisis of the team.
The North Londoners are in defensive chaos after the seasonal hamstring injury of Gabriel Magalhaes against Fulham this week.
Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori missed Tuesday's visit to the Cottagers and his big doubts for next week's collision with Los Blancos.
