Real Madrid was named Club of the Year, Vinicius won Best Forward and Best Men's Player at tonight's gala in Dubai.

Another year, Real Madrid emerged victorious at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, held in Dubai. The Spanish giants won five competitions in a very productive year: La Liga, the Champions League, the Spanish and European Super Cups and most recently the Intercontinental Cup.

For these achievements, Madrid scooped the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards, which celebrated their fifteenth edition at the five-star Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai.

Florentino Pérez received the award for Best President, while Carlo Ancelotti, Thibaut Courtois, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius were also recognized. Bellingham and Vinicius won in two different categories.

What awards did Real Madrid win at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards Ceremony?

Real Madrid was voted Best International Club 2024 for winning five trophies in the past twelve months. José Ángel Sánchez was appointed to receive the award on behalf of the club: “There are no secrets. You have to work hard. You have to adapt to changes and stay true to the club's values,” the Real Madrid general manager explained when asked about the secret of Madrid's success.

Florentino Pérez was crowned the best president of all time. The president of Real Madrid sent a message of thanks via video link: “Since I became president of Real Madrid in 2000, I have always said that it is a great honor to be at the head of the most loved and admired sporting institution in the world . . And all I have done is ensure that this club remains in the place it deserves because of its history and what it represents to millions of people around the world.

“I would also like to thank them for the award given to Real Madrid for what they have achieved in a year that has once again been historic and unforgettable for all Madrid fans. This year will go down in history with the fifteenth European Cup, a year in which our team won five titles: the Champions League, La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, our ninth world title. .”

“This award is therefore also for our players, for our coach and for everyone who is part of Real Madrid and of course for a fan base that already has more than 600 million followers on social media and is the best in the world. . Congratulations to all the winners and thank you very much.”

Carlo Ancelotti was chosen as Best Coach of the season. Like Florentino Pérez, the Italian coach sent a video message to express his gratitude: “I'm sorry I can't be there tonight. Thank you very much for this award, it is a great honor. It's been a fantastic year. I would like to thank my club and my players and we hope to compete and compete just as much next season. Thank you.”

Courtois, Vinicius and Bellingham in Dubai

Those who did attend the ceremony included Thibaut Courtois (who took part in an entertaining debate on current football events with Cristiano Ronaldo), Vinicius and Jude Bellingham.

The goalkeeper won another Career Award, something that Rio Ferdinand and Neymar also achieved: “I want to thank Globe Soccer, my wife, my children, my teammates… Last year was quite a challenge for me because of the injury, but there is still Courtois to give,” the Belgian said before making way for his teammates.

The first was Jude Bellingham, who won the Best Midfielder of the Year award and the Maradona Award:

“I expected to win titles with Real Madrid. I signed for the best club in the world. I have the best teammates and the best coaching staff. There is a hunger to win more. Five titles in one year is good, but we want to continue with this generation for many more years and continue to make history with Real Madrid. My teammates helped me adapt, they accepted me. Entering a dressing room with so many stars and only speaking English is difficult, but they made it easy for me. I can't choose just one, everyone helped me. We ended the year very well. There were games where we could have done better, but we are doing well. We are going for everything in 2025,” he said in his speech.

The Maradona Award rewards young talents who shape their future in the football world.

For his part, Vinicius won the awards for Best Attacker of the Year and Best Player of the Year: “I am very happy to receive this award, together with many great players. It has taken a lot of work for me to get here and I thank everyone who has been by my side. I represent a lot of kids who grew up on the streets and it helped me a lot to get where I am today.”

Cristiano Ronaldo, who took home the award for the best footballer in the Middle East and the honorary award for Top Scorer of All Time, did not forget the Brazilian: “I like to be compared to me, in the way I shoot, in the body. Bellingham, Lamine, Vinicius… who deserved to have won the Ballon d'Or. He won the Champions League and the performance he had in the final. That's why I believe more in these awards,” something the Rio de Janeiro native was grateful for.

“My idol is Cristiano. It is an honor to hear these words. When Cristiano says it, I believe it. Many thanks to my teammates, family, Flamengo, the Brazilian national team, Real Madrid. I wish you a happy 2025.”

Alessandro del Piero, Rio Ferdinand and Neymar also received awards in Dubai tonight, all in the race; Lamine Yamal, Best Emerging Player; Rep. Jorge Mendes; Alba Mellado and Nadir Louah, participants of the Kings League (their prize was presented to them by Gerard Piqué), Olympiacos (breakthrough team); Jorge Jesus (Best Coach in the Middle East) and Piero Ausilio (Best Sporting Director).
