Real Madrid target confirms release clause, addresses transfer speculation

Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing a new central defender this summer, and their top goal is Dean Huijsen, who had an excellent season with AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.

And that is why many clubs have started to have started in his situation. The will of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool want to keep him in the Premier League, but the temptation of Real Madrid can be difficult to deal with – on condition that Los Blancos does indeed make a movement, which is not certain because signing a central defender was no longer if necessary if once due to Raul Asencio's turnout.

Huijsen has previously discussed Real Madrid's interest reported in his services, and he has now done this again during an interview with El Chiringuito (via Marca). He has revealed that he knows little about the speculation around him, although his friends seem to know enough.

“Do a lot of teams want me? I don't know. Do I want to play for Real Madrid? I don't know either. We'll see. But a friend called me and said that I had to go to Real Madrid.”

Huijsen confirmed the existence of a release clause in his Bournemouth contract, and it would be no surprise to see this by at least one club during the summer transfer window. Real Madrid could do this, as they have shown in recent years that they are willing to spend great on young players that they consider good enough for their first team.

It will be very interesting to follow Huijsen's situation this summer. It seems inevitable that he will leave Bournemouth, but where he ends up is much less clear, but for the time being it seems that Real Madrid is one of the teams in the race.
