Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is forced not to tackle this season in speculation of his work, and part of the reason for this is that Los Blancos seems to have already identified his successor. Bayer Leverkusen -Manager Xabi Alonso seems to be turning to the Santiago Bernabeu sooner or later.
Ancelotti is not very happy with the consistent conversation about Alonso who comes in for him, say relevant, in the same way he does not love his tactical decisions or replacements that are being interviewed. They also say that the dressing room of Real Madrid also does not expect that Ancelotti will continue at the end of the season, even if there is a recognition that Alonso is probably his replacement.
On the other hand, the uncertainty about the future of Alonso remains. Both Ancelotti and Alonso have contracts until 2026, but the Basque has a men's agreement that he can leave for Real Madrid this summer. Marca says that in the coming weeks Leverkusen will be looking for an answer from Alonso about whether he will be there next year, so that they can start planning for next year. Alonso still has to give them a clear answer, in the midst of speculation he could join Real Madrid.
Los Blancos reportedly retains their confidence in Ancelotti, but in the end his future will be determined by the trophy that Real Madrid collects at the end of the season. They are not in a hurry to make a decision themselves, and will probably not do this until the campaign is over, or at least arranged.
It certainly leaves Leverkusen and Alonso in a difficult situation while trying to work out their own plans. If Ancelotti is rejected as a manager, a probably consequence without victory in La Liga or the Champions League, then President Florentino Perez wants to offer him a role in the offices in Real Madrid.
