Real Madrid teammates rally around Mbappe after disappointment against Liverpool

Kylian Mbappe is currently going through one of his toughest moments as a professional footballer. His start as a Real Madrid player has been hugely disappointing, reaching new heights after he missed a crucial penalty in Wednesday's Champions League defeat to Liverpool.

Although Mbappe has received a series of scathing reviews from across the football world, he continues to receive support from within. Following Carlo Ancelotti's lead, Real Madrid teammate Dani Ceballos also gave his support to the French forward, according to MD.

“We know what Kylian is working on. He doesn't score as many goals as he would like, but it's difficult to get to a club like Real Madrid, which comes from winning everything. It is also difficult to settle in the first few months, but Kylian will give us a lot.”

Luka Modric also spoke highly of Mbappe, who has scored nine goals in 18 appearances since joining Real Madrid last summer.

“We see him well, he is training well and with confidence. Today it didn't happen, especially the penalty, but we have confidence in him and I am sure Kylian will do what is expected of him.”
