Real Madrid has already completed three signing sessions and further players will be brought to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. From Alvaro Carreras is expected to enter into Alexander-Arnold and Franco Mastantuono at Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, but a player who is set to a return to the Spanish capital is Nico Paz.
Last summer Real Madrid Paz sold to Serie A Side Como for a fee of € 6 million. And as part of that agreement, they retained three separate back-back options that would come into force in 2025, 2026 and 2027 respectively.
The first of these, the value of € 8 million, has been active in recent weeks, but according to Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia), that runs at midnight on Monday evening. It means that Real Madrid has only a few hours left to activate the clause to sign Paz again in 2025.
Real Madrid is linked this summer to the re -signing of Paz, but it is certain that they will not do this from 1 July. They would only have considered activating the clause of the 20-year-old € 8 million, but it is unlikely that they will do this before it disappears at midnight.
As a result, Real Madrid will have to wait until 2026 for their next chance to sign PAZ at a bargain price – this time the clause is worth € 9 million. But there is a chance that they will not get the chance, because a number of clubs have registered their interest in signing it during this summer's transfer window.
It is still to be seen where Paz, who registered six goals and eight assists in the Serie A last season, ends by the closure of the summer transfer window in September. But it is almost certain that he will not be in real Madrid.
