Real Madrid turn to Zidane to help with Mbappe performances – report
Real Madrid need to address a number of issues to get their season back on track, but Kylian Mbappe's lack of contribution is increasingly becoming a problem for Los Blancos. The Frenchman has scored just two goals since September and failed to score from the penalty spot in their crucial Champions League match against Liverpool.
The European champions have been preaching calm towards Mbappe so far, insisting that his form, while worrying, is not their biggest problem. “Sooner or later he will be fine,” was the message conveyed through the local press. Many reasoned that he was playing out of position through the middle, but even on the left, Mbappe has looked far from his best in his last two games.
According to a report from Sport, Real Madrid have turned to former player and manager Zinedine Zidane for help to kick-start his career in the Spanish capital. Zidane has a close relationship with Mbappé, as his idol and the first to recommend him to Real Madrid, which makes every message from 'Zizou' carry more weight. The big midfielder also struggled in his first season at Santiago Bernabéu, and Los Blancos have asked him to speak to Mbappe and guide him in the right direction.
