Real Madrid unhappy with Spain manager Luis de la Fuente

Real Madrid has left many internationals during the current break, one of them in Spain: Raul Asencio. The 21-year-old central defender, however, did not have the best time with La Roja, because he missed his senior debut in one of the two games against the Netherlands.

In recent months, Asencio received its first Spain call-up by De La Fuente on the back of impressive versions for Real Madrid. However, he was not included in the MatchDay Squad for the UEFA Nations League Quarter-Final First-stage from last week against the Netherlands, with Robin Le Normand, Pau Cubarsi and Dean Huijsen selected as the centerbacks.

The withdrawal of Cubarsi from the team after a single injury meant that Asencio was called up for the return leg in the Mestalla Stadium of Valencia, but in the end he played zero minutes when De La Fuente trusted Le Normand and Huijsen for the whole of normal and extra time during Sunday's game.

And this decision by De La Fuente has made Real Madrid officials very unhappy, as revealed by Sport. In particular, they believe that the justification used by the Spain -head coach has little sense, namely that it was considered a risk to start with Asencio for such an important luminaire, given that Los Blancos has familiar with him for even larger competitions this season.

Real Madrid would like to see Asencio made his Spain debut, because it would have given an extra trust for him prior to the season. Nevertheless, they have made it clear that they are fully confident in his assets, and he will continue to be counted for the rest of the current campaign and then, although this has been stopped for the time being, despite the fact that contract discussions between the two parties have stopped.
