Arda Guler's time at Real Madrid has not been easy so far. he has struggled to secure a regular starting spot, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti preferring to use the likes of Brahim Diaz and Luka Modric over him.
As a result, there has been a lot of speculation about Guler's future at Real Madrid. However, one person who doesn't expect to leave, or even get the chance to leave, is the grandfather of 19-year-old Mehmet Ali Guler, who spoke to Sporx (via MD).
“Real Madrid won't leave this boy alone, and they won't. Arda will stay there for at least six years (his contract term), but we don't know what will happen after that.”
It has been a tough eighteen months for Guler, who has seen his development stagnate as a result of not playing regular football. Still, it seems that Real Madrid have a lot of confidence in him, although he needs to be used more by Ancelotti.
