Reinier de Ridder paid Sean Strickland the ultimate compliment in his callout after the fight on Saturday evening to the surprise of fans.
The Dutch star stopped malignant with wrestling legend Bo Nickal in the Co-Main event of UFC des Moines, before he called Strickland as his next planned victim. However, it was the phrasing that De Ridder used to make fans laugh.
The former Double Champion of the Championship gave an insured and hilarious interview after the fight to Michael Bisping. There he claimed that Strickland was the 'best striker' in America and called for the fight after a large scalp of Nickal.
Reinier de Ridder -brands Sean Strickland America's 'Best Striker' in Bizarre Callout at UFC des Moines
After his victory on Saturday evening, Reinier de Ridder quickly shouted his shot on the microphone for a raw Iowa -hey. After he had left Nickal on the floor, he noticed that he had defeated the best wrestler in America, which means that he now had to accept the best striker the nation had to offer.
“I tried them knees and they still work,” he joked with Bisping. “I was a bit surprised because during the fight I noticed that he faded a bit and I thought it was the knees, so I said I had to throw the knee and the hook, try to get him again and then he was a bit gone there.
“I wanted to say that this is the best American wrestler you have, right? Give me the best American striker now. Strickland, you are tailor -made, let's go.”
That description of Strickland tickled a few UFC fans, who would rank him far from first place in terms of pure beating of an American. “Damn,” they wrote on X after the fact. “If Strickland is the best striker to give us, we have problems.”
Reinier de Ridder Brutalized Bo Nickal at UFC des Moines
The fight itself between De Ridder and Nickal was an interesting affair, because the wrestler was rightly fond about struggling with a reputable BJJ expert. The couple stood a lot on the feet, before he finally pulled the Dutchman down and even searched for a submission after some soil and pound.

Unfortunately he couldn't get that finish and eventually he was reversed and he finished the round on his feet. In the second, De Ridder worked well to edit his Thai boxing, which eventually came to the position to land large knees.
Because Nickal continued to place the cage, De Ridder tried to land a knee in the middle, who did not flush.
And then, with Nickal who withdrew, the Dutchman landed a knee in the middle, this time landing to the body of Nickal, sinking him on the ground and ended the fight.
