Remember me? Blackburn star nets against ex-club just 1 month after being fired

Adam Forshaw enjoyed the moment when he scored against his former side Plygyle, who celebrated in front of their bank, a month after the club ended his contract.

Blackburn Rovers brought Argyle back to the earth when they arrived in Ewood Park on Saturday.

The degradation griders wanted to build on an unbeaten run of three games, including an unprecedented victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round last week.

The goal of Forshaw was his first for robbers since he arrived in January; It opened the score in the affair before Tyrhys Dolan doubled the lead of the hosts to achieve a 2-0 win.

After he found the back of the net with a looping half-volley, Forsaw drove into the celebration and raised his arms in a Jude Bellingham-like way.

He stood meters away from the Argyle bank and was almost on an escape from their Gaffer, Miron Muslic.

After the last whistle, however, Forsaw Muslic told that his celebration was not an excavation for his former club and that he actually ran to his family in the stand.

The Austrian boss explained that the Hatchet was immediately buried and that the incident was purely a misunderstanding.

“I have nothing but respect for Forshaw because he explained that behind us his family, his sons,” said Muslic.

'I respect that and if I had scored that wonderful goal, I would go to my family celebrating. He is a top professional and there is nothing but respect.

“He told me this and for me the story was done in a millisecond. We hugged each other and went on. '

The goal was Forsaw's first in almost nine years as a professional.

Blackburn caregiver manager David Lowe greeted the 'fantastic' effort of the 33-year-old and revealed that the new signing of Rovers was a positive influence on their dressing room.

“He said that over the years he did not score many goals, but in honesty for him today he managed to get to the penalty area and it was a fantastic finish,” said Lowe.

'I am happy for him because he is a great professional and has been really good since he has been to the club, which determines good habits for the young players.

Forsaww came to Argyle as a free agent in January 2024 after he had terminated his contract with Norwich.

He made 30 performances for them before he left to join Blackburn on January 11, 2025.

Forsaw, a 16-year-old professional, has made 357 senior performances in his career.
