Renato Moicano chooses Mauricio Ruffy to Ko Beneil Dariush in the first round

Moicano almost turned Dariush in the opening round of their fight on UFC 317.

Styles do fights and ultimately the experienced Dariush recovered and won rounds 2 and 3 with its gripping advantage.

Although Ruffy may not have the references of the former Top-3 participant, Micano believes that Ruffy Dariush would finish in the striking department.

“Let me tell you something. When Ruffy fought against Dariush, he asked for Dariush, he would be right [out] Dariush in the first round, “Micano told me the money.

“100%. There is no doubt that he would be defeated by Ruffy,” said Micano about Dariush, who is 9-2 in his last 11 fights.

Moicano also predicted the unclost Ruffy for Ko Michael Chandler in a potential fight.

“The same with Chandler. Ruffy against Chandler, he can hit Chandler,” Micano added.

Moicano comes back to back-to-back losses and has shown interest in fighting Chandler, because the former Bellator champion is the oldest ranked hunter in the division at the age of 38.

Beneil Dariush planning a final UFC Titelrun

Dariush, 36, did not give up the hope of winning the UFC light weight title.

Once on an eight-fog winning series with victories over Mateusz Gamrot and Tony Ferguson, the #3-ranking Dariush says that he did not give a title shot in 2023 because he had not been ranked high enough.

Now ranked on #9, Dariush refuses to combat everyone under him in the ranking, while the 24-Fight UFC veteran is on their way to his first title option.

“I think this is my last push to the title shot,” Dariush told the Schmo.

“Who knows? I never try to decide when I will retire. I leave that in the hands of the Lord.

“But I am 36 years old. I want to push that title,” Dariush continued.

“I don't want to fight people behind me. I have always given guys opportunities for people behind me, like [Mateusz] Gamrot and Arman [Tsarukyan]. Now I want opportunities to fight for me. “
