Turkish Super Lïg team Galatasary have had a €15 million bid rejected by Stade Rennais for Amine Gouiri (24), according to a report by L'Équipe journalist Loïc Tanzi. Earlier this week, Galatasaray had made the first contact with Rennes to inquire about the situation of the Algerian international, who is in contact with the Breton team until 2027. Rennes had reportedly said they intended not to part with the forward, before the Turkish club sent an initial offer of €13 million plus €2 million in bonuses on Wednesday. After being informed of the interest by Galatasaray, Gouiri reportedly informed Rennes management that he did not wish to proceed with the transfer. The attacker has played sixteen games in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring twice and recording one assist. Tanzi reports that he is highly rated by Rennes boss Jorge Sampaoli, indicating that the chances of a move were minimal. However, the Turkish giants opted to make an offer anyway, which was subsequently rejected by the Breton club.GFFN | George Boxall
