Ronald Araujo's future continues to evolve from the Catalan capital after a week of rumors surrounding a move from Juventus. The Uruguayan defender is in talks with Barcelona over a new deal, with his current deal set to expire in 2026, but has not made much progress.
That means Barcelona will want to sell this summer or even January, with Juventus counting on the latter. La Vecchia Signora has reportedly been given the green light by Araujo to make a move, and La Repubblica (via Sport) is now reporting that Juventus has reached a deal with Barcelona to make the move a reality, on a loan with an obligation to purchase in the summer .

This is disputed by the local press in Barcelona, with Jijantes' Gerard Romero confirming talks with Juventus but denying any agreement. Other clubs have also reportedly inquired about his availability. Sport goes on to say that Manchester United are among the parties that have made inquiries, but also that Araujo's camp denies that an agreement has been reached.
At one point it looked like Eric Garcia would leave in January, but the Blaugrana will only be thinking about the departure of one of him, Araujo or Andreas Christensen this season, although all three are potential departures in the summer. In the case of Araujo, the impending arrival of Jonathan Tah is one of the reasons Barcelona wants to do business.
Recent reports have also suggested that Arsenal could make a move for Araujo, and the Premier League is thought to be his preferred destination if he wants to leave Barcelona. The fact that they have made no progress on a new contract, yet have marked summer as a sale date, means that doing a deal now potentially makes sense for Barcelona, if they don't feel they can get a new to finalize a contract with Araujo.
