Revealed: Man City freeze ticket prices after first proposing an increase

The decision of Manchester City to freeze ticket prices came after the first time an increase of 2.8 percent during a meeting with supporters.

City moved to hold on to their existing prices for general season and matchday tickets prior to the 2025-26 campaign after 'Constructive Dialogue' with fans.

The Premier League of the Club Mandatory Fan Advisory Council, City Matters, was given the plan for price increases across the board in accordance with the consumer price index.

But after conversations during that meeting, City chose to keep the status quo after a decade of walks – to become the seventh Premier League to freeze the prices this year in response to national protests.

Last Thursday, City met Stadszaken, 24 hours after thousands of fans were demonstrated against the recently announced collaboration with third parties Sales Viagogo, one of the largest stadium protests in the history of Premier League.

Supporters – also agitated with general ticketing issues – remained the first nine minutes of their victory over Leicester City on the hall of the City, with Pep Guardiola supporting their right to protest.

There are concerns about the number of new season cards that are available in a stadium that is currently being redeveloped and the distribution of seats after having seen controversial incidents who have infiltrated home ends.

General admission tickets for the home conflict against Aston Villa in fourteen days £ 71 and supporters claim that the strategy needs a reconsideration. The villa competition, on April 22, may be reserved as another night to protest by supporter groups.

A district statement was: 'The club would like to thank the club representatives for the feedback they give on various topics with regard to ticketing and for sharing a wide range of perspectives of the fans they represent.

“The club and city matters will continue their continuous discussions and consultations in the coming months about the evolution of the fan experience on Matchday in the redeveloped and extensive Etihad stadium.”
