The fastest players in the Champions League of this season have been mentioned – and two Manchester City Stars functions in the top five.
The men of Pep Guardiola left the competition in the play-off round after having lost 6-3 to Real Madrid after a disappointing competition phase who saw them end in 22nd place.
It was not a European campaign to look back on with too much preference, but some players in the city still found the attention with their explicit pace.
Erling Haaland reached a top speed of 36.9 kmh (22.9 km / h), making him the fastest player in Europe's Elite Club competition.
The Norwegian attacker is known for racing past defenders when he gets the chance, so his ranking cannot surprise much.
But it is somewhat a shock to see his teammate Matheus Nunes (22.6 MPH) on the list.
The midfielder, who also filled in on full back this season, tends to rely more on his technical skills, but the latest figures suggest that he can also avoid his opponents.
Nunes is immediately behind PSG Achraf Hakimi (22.7 MPH) and Real Madrid -Superster Kylian Mbappe (22.6 MPH), while Brest's Mama Bald (22.4 mph) completes the top five.
Hakimi played a full 90 minutes for the French champions when they went to a 1-0 defeat of Liverpool on Wednesday, despite dominating for long periods.
Mbappe did much better when Real Beat City Rivals Atletico 2-1 to ensure that they have a slim advantage on their way to the second stage.
The French attacker may not be completely in line with Haaland when it comes to top speed, but he scored a hat trick against City last month to seal the place of Real in the knockout phase at the expense of the Premier League champions.
A third city player sneaks in the top 10 in the form of January and signs Abduqodir Khusanov (22.1 MPH).
City spent £ 33 million on Khusanov Adhwen from Ligue 1 -Outfitlens at the beginning of the year, and the young defender has shown that his recovery pace is one of his most important strengths after he had settled well after a shaky debut against Chelsea.
Bayern Munich Speedster Alphonso Davies (22.1 MPH) is just outside the top 10, while last year's balloon d'or of Vinicius JR (22 MPH) is in 16th place.
PSG Left Back Nuno Mendes (22 MPH) – who kept Mohamed Salah still on Wednesday – is 20th.
There is still enough time that these figures enter the business end of the Champions League in the coming weeks.
The return legs of the last-16 tires will be played next week, before the quarterfinals, semi-final and final take place after this month's international break.
