Bayern Munich reportedly set a towering limit on their transfer pass for Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
The German giant rivals this summer at Barcelona and Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr for the signature of the attacker this summer.
There is a problem in the way: Liverpool has little intention to sell Diaz, whose contract ends in 2027.
But that did not deter his lovers to sniff around in their wallets, with Barcelona thought it was the front runners.
Barca has made formal contact, Mundo Deportivo reports that his agent is talking to the Spaniards, and Sport reported last month that Hansi Flick's side was convinced to land him.
Bayern is also enthusiastic and is said to allow Vincent Kompany to spend up to € 60 million (£ 51.6 million) on him, according to Insider Christian Falk.
That happens to be £ 0.6 million above a figure that was recently cited by Sport as the asking price of Liverpool.
However, Mail Sport reported earlier in July that Liverpool, an approach to Bayern, Teldd Director of Sport Max Eberl, rejected that 28-year-old Anfield would not leave.
Falk notes that Bayern da Formal offer will not submit for the time being out of respect for Liverpool after the death of Diogo Jota.
Diaz has insisted that he is 'very, very happy' with the Reds, but that did not prevent him from being linked to a series of sides.
Liverpool has not offered an extension of his contract and there will be a few years, the responsibility is up to them to call his future.
The versatile Diaz made 50 performances in all competitions last season, scored 17 goals and offered eight assists.
He recently said: 'I am very, very happy in Liverpool. From the first day they really made me feel welcome.
'At the moment we have contact with them because we are talking [other] Clubs. It is normal, the market is open and we try to find out what is best for us.
'I just wait to see what is happening. If Liverpool does not make a good offer, I will have two years left with them, I would be happy and be satisfied to stay there. And that is, everything clearly depends on it, it is up to me to decide what is best for us. '
Diaz came to Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for a first fee of £ 37.5 million.
He has become an important player, played 148 times and became the second Colombian player ever to win the Premier League after Juan Cuadrado did with Chelsea.
