The monthly salary of Mason Greenwood has been unveiled in the French media, with the Marseille Vooruit one of the best -paid players in the country.
Greenwood moved over the English canal last summer and exchanged Manchester United for the south of France in a deal with a value of £ 27 million plus £ 3.2 million in add-ons.
The 23-year-old has so far enjoyed a productive season in Marseille, with 15 goals and has so far delivered three assists in 26 Ligue 1 matches.
And the form of the One-Cap England International reflects its salary with Greenwood under the top 20 highest paid players the top flight of France.
In an article published on Wednesday afternoon, the French publication L'Equipe produced a list of the most lucrative contracts in Ligue 1.
They guarantee their list that these are gross monthly salaries and therefore do not contain bonuses. They also add that the average monthly salary that we offer for each club is an estimate that takes into account the professional team, with the exception of youth players whose playing time is limited.
As a result, their figure Greenwood earns € 450,000 per month, which amounts to £ 377,000 a month, so that he is placed 16th on their list.
It will be no surprise that Paris Saint-Germain dominates this list with the first 12 players at the top.
Walking at the forefront is Ousmane Dembele for £ 1.26 million per month (€ 1.5 million).
His teammate and captain, Marquinhos, is in second place of £ 1 million (€ 1.2 million), while Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Hernandez each are £ 920,000 per month (€ 1.1 million).
Prodigal Talent Warren Zaire-Emery completed the top five of £ 794,000 per month (£ 950,000).
Greenwood is perhaps 16th, but he is not the best-paid Marseille player, who is going to reward to Adrien Rabiot and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Rabiot and ex-Southampton and Tottenham midfielder Hojbjerg both earn £ 418,000 a month (€ 500,000).
