Revealed: Why a Leicester player was given permission to ‘bring DOG to training’

Leicester City defender Jannik Vestergaard once brought his dog to training.

The sight of the Pooch, a Eurasier named Brady, on the Seagrave training Base of the club, would have shocked members of club staff.

Despite playing for Leicester, Vestergaard lives in London and commits to the East Midlands every day.

According to the Telegraph, it was agreed that the former Southampton star could occasionally stay with the five-star standard accommodation on the first floor of the club's training field.

This facility is sometimes used by guests of the owners, the Srivaddhanaprabha family.

But Vestergaard brought a four -legged guest on one occasion.

He was apparently seen that he walked his pet around one of the training fields when his teammates came to work.

It is claimed that Vestergaard then asked one of the players of the club players to take care of his dog while he went to training.

The dog's visit was reportedly punished by the club as a 'one -off' because the Van Vestergaard family had flown from London and could not take care of anyone else.

Vestergaard has been a Leicester player since August 2021 when he joins Southampton for transfer costs in the £ 15 million region.

He has played among many Foxes managers, including Brendan Rodgers, Dean Smith, Enzo Maresca, Steve Cooper and now Ruud van Nistorrooy.

The Denmark International previously clashed with both Rodgers and Cooper.

He also recently refused to shake hands with Van Nistelrooy after he had been replaced during the 2-0 defeat of Leicester at West Ham.

With 11 rounds of Premier League matches that remain this season, Leicester looks destined to be exiled to the championship.

The Foxes, who won promotion last season by winning the Second Division of England, have won only four of their first 27 games and are currently 19th in the table.
