Aston Villa will be confronted in August with Serie A Giants Roma in a pre-season friendly, but the game will not be played in Villa Park.
The men of Unai Emery have a busy schedule for the season in place where they will see at Midlands Rivals Walsall and then Hansa Rostock in Germany before they go to the US to play Eintracht Frankfurt, St Louis City and Nashville.
A return to the UK will follow, with Villa set up to host Roma on August 6.
However, the fixture will be held in the Bescot Stadium of Walsall instead of Villa Park. Walsall is currently playing in League Two after the suffering of a play-off heartbreak when they lost last month to AFC Wimbledon in Wembley.
The EFL ground has a capacity of only 11,300, which means that only a small crowd can attend the game.
Although no official reason has been given for the stadium change, it is clear that Villa will probably concentrate on the in excellent condition, with the competition a little more than a week before the Premier League season starts.
Four music concerts are also planned in Villa Park this summer, so that time is being shortened to prepare their field.
Guns N 'Roses will light up Villa Park next Monday, before Chris Brown has his own show three days later.
The iconic Midlands band Black Sabbath will play in Villa Park on July 5, before Kendrick Lamar and SZA will arrive at the stage on July 10.
The Bescot Stadium is about a quarter of the size of Villa Park, but the two grounds are only 10 miles apart, which means that the change in the location should not affect too much of the travel plans of fans.
Villa's preseason has become clearer and they will soon find out how their Premier League season will shape 2025-26.
The Premier League fixtures of next season will be released on Wednesday at 9 am, whereby Villa wants to improve in their sixth place compared to the previous term, so that they kiss the Champions League football.
