Declan Rice greeted the “fearlessness” shown by “Asset” Myles Lewis-Skelly after the historical debut of the 18-year-old historical England.
The full-back of Arsenal marked his senior three lions with the opening goal, when Thomas Tuchel's reign began with a 2-0 win over Albania in Wembley.
At the age of 18 and 176 days old, Lewis-Skelly became the youngest scoring debutant of England, who surpassed Marcus Rashford, who was 33 days older when he delivered against Australia in May 2016.
He is also the third-jongest player who scores for the Drie Leeuwen in general, after Wayne Rooney (17, 317 days in 2003) and Michael Owen (18 years, 164 days in 1998).
“Week to week he showed how good he is, and the fearlessness he has in his performance,” his teammate of Arsenal and England told reporters.
“That is with him: how much you want and how much you want to continue. He must be hungry every day.
“He must continue to be himself around the training field in Arsenal, around England, and keep pushing himself.
“Lost for words.”

“He is now an asset to us. He is 18 years old and has a long career in the game if he keeps doing good things.
“He didn't even know he would start until today, and I just knew he would get a good achievement because he has that faith in himself.”
It was the newest high in a breakthrough season for the graduate Arsenal Academy, which appeared 26 times for the Gunners in all competitions, which only made his first team debut in September.
Tuchel, whose side welcomed Latvia on Monday for their second world cup qualification in group K, also paid tribute to the performance of Lewis-Skelly.
“He is full of confidence and full of humor, and such an open and mature character,” added the Three Lions head coach.
“Everything you see on the field that you see off the field, he does it with a natural confidence, and this is how he plays football.”
