Richarlison will give Ange Postecoglou a boost by returning to action next week – because it appeared, Tottenham has rejected an approach for the striker of the Brazilian side Flamengo.
The 27-year-old has been absent since Hinking in the semi-final defeat of Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in February. He cut a depressed figure because he was forced only a few weeks after returning a hamstring injury that had kept him outside since November.
He has managed only 14 performances for Spurs this season, but Postecoglou manager should have been available for the first stage of the Europa League quarterfinals against Eintracht Frankfurt a week on Thursday.
Spurs were approached in the January window by Flamengo, who wanted to take the injury-affected striker in a permanent £ 16 million or on loan.
Tottenham would only consider a permanent deal and wanted to go around double the money they were offered.
The former club of Richarlison, Fluminense, was also interested, but the attacker is reluctant to go home to Brazil, in the conviction that it would be difficult to return to one of Europe's Big Five Leagues.
He wants another chance to fulfill his potential at Spurs, where he is under contract until June 2027.
Richarlison is desperate to return from an injury to help his club end the season strongly – as well as increasing his prospects to return to the national team of Brazil, for whom he has not characterized since October 2023.
