Former Manchester United -defender Rio Ferdinand has encouraged his old club to move to Galatasaray Voord Victor Osimhen on Deadline Day after he was not impressed by Rasmus Hojlund.
The turbulent season of United took place on Sunday after Crystal Palace had inflicted a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford, their 11th loss of the Premier League season.
Their struggles in attack were uncovered when Ruben Amorim was forced to play defensive midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine. It was an experiment that could not bear fruit because United only had two shots on the purpose of all games.
The Red Devils are now 13th in the Premier League and 12 points of the top four, where Amorim is looking for answers to renew his wrestling team.
He has already brought two defenders into the transfer star of January in the Midden-Back Ayden Heaven and left back Patrick Dorgu, but is now looking for a new attacker after leaving Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee on the couch against Palace.
Ferdinand believes that Osimhen would be the perfect signature for United because he is a “natural no. 9” that can offer a regular stock of goals.
After he answered a fan who claimed that United needed a traditional attacker in his Rio Ferdinand presents YouTube show, he replied: “I agree with you. I totally agree. A natural number nine. Victor Osimhen , I would have gone on loan with Osimhen.
Moving to Osimhen is not a simple task because he is currently on loan with Galatasaray from Napoli, so every interested club should probably convince the Italian club to call it back and borrow it elsewhere.
Ferdinand has previously called United to sign Osimhen, who scored 17 goals this term in 21 performances and said he would do what Hojlund could not do and guarantee goals.
“I looked at Hojlund the last two games well … It's just not right,” he said. “I would now get Osimhen if we can do it from a financial position. Get it on loan now!
“Guarantees that someone who can come at the end of things, score goals, experience it at the highest level. I just want because Hojlund was £ 70m-we expect the completed article. Unfortunately. [he’s not]. He is a young striker, but normally a striker comes in of that age and teaches someone. He has no one to learn. “
