Rising UFC star launches impassioned defence of Bo Nickal as he points out key fact after UFC Des Moines KO

Oban Elliott jumped against the defense of Bo Nickal in the light of ruthless criticism after his first UFC defeat.

Last night, renowned wrestler Nickal was eliminated twice as one FC champion Reinier de Ridder in the Co-Main event of UFC des Moines. The defeat was his first since making the switch to MMA, and fans have been brutal in their assessment.

Some claimed that Nickal 'fraud was controlled' by the result. However, Elliott claims that after only eight fights he took a huge step in the competition to even get in the ring with someone like De Ridder.

Oban Elliott is no stranger to get abuse from UFC fans on social media. The Cocky Welsh star still has to taste a defeat in the Octagon, but some viewers believe that he is talking more than his record is justified.

“Everyone who suffered Bo Nickal as if he not only fought against the now 20-2 rdrdr,” Eliott tweeted in the midst of feedback from fans. “Former two weight champions with its only losses from Malykhin, current one two weight champion (and former 3 weight champion), in his 8th MMA fight. You are crazy.”

Fans claimed that the fact that he went to the score cards with Paul Craig last time was sufficient to prove that he was 'fraud'. But Elliott also rejected that idea and added: “Bro Paul is a beast, enough!”

Bo Nickal breaks his silence after UFC des Moines

After his defeat against De Ridder, Bo Nickal brought the day to stop before he finally went to Instagram to give his take to fans. He kept the message short and shared a photo with a caption with one line next to it.

“Thankful for the highlights and lows,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself who stepped in with a black and white filter. “I'm coming back.”

Nickal recently plagued future matchups against people like Khamzat Chimaev and Dricus du Plessis. But his performance last night in his latest big step -up showed that he still has a way to compete against the top middle weights.
