Robbie Keane believes Postecoglou will be backed at Spurs after UEL win

Former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has revealed that he thinks that manager Ange Postecoglou is supported by the board after their victory in the Europa League.

Postecoglou led Tottenham to Europa League Glory against Manchester United in Bilbao, who now confirms their place in the Champions League before next season.

Nevertheless, Spurs have been terrible in the competition and end up near the relegation zone, regardless of the result on the last day of the season.

Postecoglou etched his name in Tottenham Folklore on Wednesday, but reports still suggest that he can be replaced after what of the worst seasons in the club's history has been.

Speaking with Talksport, Keane wiped the idea that the Spurs -Baas would leave and stated that owner Daniel Levy will support him for the following season.

“There is no way they can have a season with the team they have next year, not, so hopefully they add two or three players and they can achieve something.

“Perhaps he now has all the strength to win the cup. I am sure they would have identified some players they want to bring to the club and bring the injury list down and add some more players.

“I am sure Daniel will support him. He will return the managers, he has spent a lot of money, but they certainly need two or three players.

“I think he put himself under a lot of pressure with those comments, so if he didn't win anything, it would come back to chase him. But he did it, he has proven that everyone is wrong.

“What I like about Ange is his confidence, he believes in himself and his group of players, yes, the season has not been great, I don't apologize, but if you miss three or four important players, it can be difficult, especially if they are boys on the back.”

The tactics and approach of the 59-year-old are often ridiculous and other top managers such as Thomas Frank, Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner are all linked to take his place.

The time will learn whether Keane is right, but what is certain is that the victory has saved United Postecoglou from the heel block, and now he lives to see his side and improve next season.
