Robelis Despaigne continued his post-puc Knock-Out Streak on Karate Combat 53 on Friday evening.
The 6ft 7 in heavyweight was kicked from the most important promotion of MMA after a 1-2 point in the Octagon.
After winning his UFC debut with an impressive knockout of 18 seconds, the Cuban Taekwondo star, who won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in London 2012, was surpassed in back-to-back decision against Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Austen Lane.
In October 2024 he was quickly arrested by Karate Fights after he was cut from the UFC grid.

Robelis Despaigne scores 8 seconds knockout
Robelis Despaigne was known for scoring super fast knockouts before he came to the UFC.
Dana White broke him up after he had seen three of his fighting ending in a combined time of just 19 seconds.
Since leaving the company, Despaigne has returned to impose people within a few seconds.
Roggers Souza, a veteran of 15-8 MMA, was the newest unfortunate opponent who matched the 36-year-old.
Despaigne dropped him with the first blow he threw during the latest event of Karate Combat in Denver, Colorado.
Souza fell on his knees of a massive shot with the right hand before taking three more big bumps and eventually fell to the Canvas with Face-First.
The referee officially came in to call off the fight after eight seconds – but it was really much earlier.
Despaigne scored the fastest ko in karate combat history in four seconds last December.
A month later he only needed 12 seconds to stop Marcos Brigagão at Karate Combat 52.
What is the next step for Robelis Despaigne?
Robelis Despaigne returns to MMA in 2025 after drawing at Global Fight League [GFL].
The newly launched team-based MMA promotion prepared him on their Miami team in January.
Tony Ferguson vs Dillon Danis is the newest in a series of large matchups announced by the promotion.
Despaigne is still without an opponent, but he is expected to make his GFL debut in the coming months.
It seems that he is planning to continue to compete in karate fights while he strives MMA Glory with the new rival of the UFC.
“You always seem to be in the largest phases,” Despaigne recently told Hahblemos MMA.
“I love a lot of karate fighting, and I want to win the title in karate fights, but the dream has always been to be in the UFC. I have already achieved that, but I want to come back and fight against MMA, and everything possible in reach. “
