Poland host Malta in Warsaw on March 24, while Lewandowski wants to secure maximum points of their first two games in group G.
Spain or the Netherlands will be added to the five-teams group this summer, depending on whom their incoming UEFA Nations League Quarter Final Clash wins.
Lewandowski is expected to return to Barcelona on 25 March immediately after the international duty, and he is one of Barcelona's internationals who will have less than 72 hours of rest before the Return match against Osasuna on March 27.
From Flick is expected to use players who are not used on international service against Osasuna after a profession to change the date again was rejected by La Liga and the RFEF because of a stacked schedule.
