Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has offered a blunt reaction to rumors that he could leave the club this summer.
Lewandowski enjoyed his best campaign ever in Catalonia when the 36-year-old turned to 101 goals in 147 performances in three seasons.
2024/25 contained its strongest single campaign-long, with 27 scored in La Liga and 42 in general, while he just missed Kylian Mbappe in the Golden Boot Race.
Despite his ruthlessness for the goal, rumors about his long -term future remain, while he prepares to turn 37 in August.
While Lewandowski is on his way to his summer vacation, the veteran -striker told an interview with German Outlet Bild that he is not going to leave, with his full focus on Barcelona.
“I won more than 30 titles in my career. But I am ready for more,” he said.
“It's no problem for me. I will stay next season. At the moment I only have Barcelona. Our team will be even better next season.”
The current Barcelona contract from Lewandowski runs until June 2026, but both parties can use the option to extend another 12 months if his performance level is maintained.
Barcelona will keep a close eye on Lewandowski during the low season while making sure that he returns in top condition before the preseason.
The No. 9 has already been withdrawn from the team of Poland for their matches in June due to exhaustion of his domestic campaign.
“Due to the circumstances and intensity of the club season, the coach and I have jointly decided that I will not participate in the training camp of the Polish national team in June.”
That call has brought some criticism from Poland, with one of the two matches a World Cup qualifying match from 2026 against Finland, while he starts one of the longest breaks of his career with 7-8 non-set weeks on the Horizon.
