Robert Whittaker has fought both men who form and lose the following UFC Middleweight Title Fight to defend Drus Du Plessis in 2023 and challenger Khamzat Chimaev in 2024.
Whittaker will belong to those who pay a lot of attention to the UFC 319 Main Event When the Octagon gets back in Chicago for his next pay-per-view on August 16.
In the Headline Act, the UFC Middleweight title of Chimaev Challenge du Plessis will challenge and want to do what both Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya could not get through the South African.
Adesanya shared his du Plessis vs. Chimaev -Pick, after he fell to 'Stillnocks' in August 2024. But 'The Reaper' can be placed better to break down the upcoming championship conflict, given that he fought against both men.

During a recent appearance on the Ariel Helwani show, Whittaker looked at his return and looked ahead to the collision between two of his former opponents.
The UFC 319 Headliners mark two of the three middle weights that the Australian have put in the distance. Du Plessis made Whittaker Van Streek with a Schokknock -out in round two during the International Fight Week in 2023. The next opponent of the South African went one step further, with Chimaev Whittaker underwent in less than four minutes thanks to a face crank that displaced the front teeth of the former champion.
With that, Whittaker is well aware of the talents of both men. And 'The Reaper' thinks that the result could come up with something simple – or Chimaev ends Du Plessis in the first round or the title stays with 'Stillknocks'.
“Chimaev is going to bring him to the ground,” said Whittaker. “If he doesn't finish him there, I don't think he wins. That's just how I feel.
“If you can't get Dricus in the first, what Chimaev can do-the first round is his thing, right? But if he doesn't get him away there, I think Dricus looks good, promising.
“He is a man who if you don't come, he wins a kind,” added Whittaker.

Regardless of who wins UFC 319, Whittaker will keep an eye on a rematch with the champion.
After healing the horrible injuries, he suffered from Chimaev's brutal face crank, 'The Reaper' returns to action this Saturday to head the latest UFC Fight Night in Abu Dhabi.
After the fast knockout from Whittaker against Ikram Aliskerov in Saudi Arabia last summer, the Australian will be looking to recapture that form in his third consecutive outing in the middle -east.
The task of preventing this from happening is Reinier de Ridder, a former dichotomy of a championship titleholder who has so far been 3-0 in the UFC.
