According to a report from La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Roberto de Zerbi has emerged as the favorite to take over from Sérgio Concukição in AC Milan.
The Italian outlet writes that Conceição looks unlikely as a head coach after the end of this season, even if he can bring Milan silverware to the Coppa Italia. After two foreign coaches, I want to return Rossoneri to an Italian manager.
The Zerbi agent reportedly met Fabio Paraticians in Milan, with the former Tottenham Hotspur director probably becoming the new sports director of Milan at the end of the season.
However, the Zerbi is under contract in Olympique de Marseille until 2027, so it is still to be seen whether Milan will be able to reach the appreciation of the Ligue 1 side, especially with the club in the hunt for a return to the Champions League. With this in mind, the Italian giants look at other options.
