Robertson reveals Trent Arnold’s state of mind amid Real Madrid rumours

Liverpool star Andy Robertson has opened himself about the current state of mind of Trent Alexander-Arnold while he is still being associated with a move to Real Madrid.

Reds defender Alexander-Arnold, who has spent his entire career at Anfield and is the vice-captain of the Premier League leaders, seems to be about to leave for Spain in the summer transfer window.

A move away from Anfield would be a free deal, in which his contract ends within a few months and he has been free to negotiate a move since the January window.

Some Liverpool fans are hit hard by the reports, with one fan who saw a Reds shirt burning with the name of Alexander-Arnold, even though he is not yet moving.

Alexander-Arnold itself has kept the reports still, but his entire rear partner in Crime Robertson opened the test prior to the match on his side against Fulham this weekend.

And Robertson, who played 276 times next to the 276 times before the Reds, revealed that the defender is not in a good place but not because of a left away.

“Trent's head is not great because he is injured,” said Robertson. “He hates to be injured – none of us loves to be injured, but it hurts a little more.

“That's all he is focused on.”

Alexander-Arnold maintains an enchantment on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury in the Champions League defeat by Paris Saint-Germain last month.

If he left, this would mean that he may only have a handful of games in a red shirt, because he is faced with the time to go back to action before the end of the campaign.

However, he was seen, greeting his teammates in Anfield after defeating Everton in the Merseyside Derby in midweek, and Robertson himself remained strictly reports of a move.

“It is impossible for me to say that we have not seen all the noise and everyone who comments on it,” he added. “But for us our focus is on him to get fit and healthy again.

'As soon as he does, what happens will happen. Nobody remembers that. People can talk and speculate, but for us we want Trent back very quickly. '

The Defender of Scotland was now full of praise for the colleague Liverpudlian Curtis Jones of Alexander-Arnold, who filled a right against the Toffees in the absence of the English man.

“I thought he was excellent,” said Robertson. “Curtis was excellent.

“He played a really good game. Such an intelligent football player. We joked yesterday – he played left wing, no. 10, no. 6, no. 8, Spits, as a right back. Hopefully he can't play on the left.

“But it shows how intelligent he is. He took the game in his pass, so comfortable on the ball and he also defended very well. '
