Rodrygo latest: ‘5 PL clubs – including MU. ready to battle over the Brazilian’

A large number of Premier League parties, including Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United, fighting to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

The Brazilian is ready for a summer output of the Santiago Bernabeu, after he has reportedly decided that he no longer wants to play for the club, and is supposed to have refused to play in El Clasico last Sunday in the well -camp.

The 24-year-old, who signed for Los Blancos in 2019, would be unhappy at the level of media attention from him and to Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham since their arrival in the Spanish capital.

With Madrid ready to start a new era after the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as manager of Brazil, Rodrygo wants to follow his manager out the door.

While he rejected a move to Manchester City last year, the side of Pep Guardiola belongs to one of the five Premier League teams who wanted to sign him this summer, according to Diario as, claiming that Madrid would be willing to separate with him for around £ 84 (€ 100 million).

Although it is not yet assumed that conversations have started, the Brazilian has previously admitted that they have kept the Manchester Club fun.

“For me they are the best team in the world, the one who plays the best football,” he said earlier.

Arsenal has also been associated with Rodrygo and urgently needs to strengthen their attack after a destroyed season.

They currently have no recognized striker available, with Gabriel Jesus sidelined since January with an ACL injury.

Replacement Kai Havertz has not been seen since February because of a hamstring injury that was sustained during a winter training in Dubai, but this season still remains the top scorer of the club with nine goals.

In the meantime, Rodrygo has earned a lot of praise from midfielder Mikel Merino, who is forced to deputize as an emergency striker for a large part of their campaign.

“I have a weakness for Rodrygo because of his playing style,” he said. “He is technically excellent. He has every possible register in his game.

'Not only that, but he is able to play in different parts of the field. Inside, outside he goes into space … he is a player that I really like. '

Rodrygo scored 18 goals and claimed nine assists in the 2023/24 season when Real Madrid won the Treble.

But he did not follow it this season, but collected six times and granted six assists in Laliga.

He only scored once in his last 22 games, the last nets against Atletico Madrid in March.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are still all interested.

While Mohammed Salah recently extended his contract until 2027, the futures of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are uncertain.

In the meantime, United and Chelsea are interested in applying reinforcements this summer, but their plans depend on if they are eligible for the Champions League.

Ruben Amorim's side also hopes to sign Ipswich Vooruit Liam Delap or Wolves's Matheus Cunha.
