Dybala suffered last week during the collision with Cagliari.
It has now been agreed that Dybala will go under the knife, with the Argentina international trust in a rapid recovery.
Roma announced today: “Paulo Dybala will undergo surgery in the coming days after an injury on his left Semitendinosus tendon.
“The player and the club have mutually decided that this was the right way for an optimal recovery of the injury. Best wishes for a quick recovery from Paulo, we are waiting for you!”
Dybala also stated: “Dear friends, first of all I thank you from the ground of my heart for the affection that you always show me.
“After the results of the tests and evaluating the different options, I have now decided to undergo this operation to return as quickly as possible. Even if I will be temporarily away from the field, I will continue to support my Roma teammates in this crucial phase of the championship and our national team that I will follow as a fan during these qualifying matches.
“I come back quickly, even stronger, I promise. See you on the field.
