Roman Kopylov gives a statement of social media about UFC 318 Co-Main Loss

Under the biggest spotlights of his UFC career, Kopylov did not succeed in intervening against Costa and entering the photo of the middleweight title. Despite this setback, Kopylov has his head in a good place after his UFC 318 defeat.

In a recent message from his Instagram story, Kopylov gave his first public comments after his loss for Costa on UFC 318.

“The road will be saved by walking,” said Kopylov.

“Thank goodness for everything !!! 318 was not ours.”

Kopylov won recent victories over Chris Curtis and Cesar Almeida before the loss for Costa. He spent Curtis with a main kick in January in one of the dirtiest finishes of the year.

In the meantime, Costa impressively returned to the win column on UFC 318 in a performance that attracted rave reviews of Jon Jones and others. After his victory, Costa had a man in his mind for his next potential UFC.

Paulo Costa's feud with Khamzat Chimaev hit a new level at UFC 318

Costa and undefeated middleweight Khamzat Chimaev have had bad blood for months, as a result of their planned booking on UFC 294. Costa was forced to withdraw from UFC 294 due to an injury and was replaced by former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.

Since that night, things have not cooled down between Costa and Chimaev, two of the most colorful personalities in the middleweight division. Costa accused Chimaev of it his girlfriend for and immediately after his UFC 318 victory through DMS.

Chimaev has since refused the claims of Costa, despite the fact that screenshotted DMs were leaked on social media on Monday. Chimaev will be confronted next month with UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis at the UFC 319 event in Chicago.

Although the desired Chimaev fight from Costa may not flourish immediately after UFC 318, he has a plan to make the resentment inevitable. If Chimaev wins the middleweight title on UFC 318, then do not be surprised if Costa publicly calls for the next title shot to arrange their beef.
