Defender Ronald Araujo is convinced that Barcelona, who has conquered a domestic Treble by winning the Liga, Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup this season, have what is needed to conquer the Champions League, a title that the club has missed for ten years.
Thousands joined Barcelona's Victory Parade from Camp Nou to Arc de Triomf on Friday, one day after the Catalan side secured their 28th Spanish title of top flight with a 2-0 win at local Rivals Espanyol.
“Very happy, we deserve it. The team and the people earn it. Nobody gambled on us at the start of the season and we won three titles,” said Aruguay's Araujo Barca one during the open-bus parade.
“People are enthusiastic about this team because there is good raw material. We missed the Champions League, but we will get it.”
Barcelona, who were eliminated this month by Inter Milan this month from the semi -final of the Champions League, won the best European club match in 2015 for the last time.
